Course Overview
The Manual Handling Update for Healthcare Workers course provides healthcare professionals with an annual refresher on safe manual handling principles and patient handling practices used within healthcare environments. The course reviews current best-practice approaches to patient mobility, transfers, repositioning techniques, risk assessment and the use of handling equipment to minimise the risk of injury to both healthcare workers and patients.
This course supports healthcare workers in maintaining competency, meeting workplace health and safety obligations, and promoting safe, person-centred care across healthcare, aged care, disability and community care settings.
